EcoFlow Delta Pro Portable Power Station Review

Hi guys and welcome to my review of the EcoFlow Delta portable power station! If you've never visited my site before, then you should know that I was once new to camping like you. I've grown to love camping and overlanding as a hobby and I like to focus my reviews on actual gear and products that I have personally used in order to help answer questions for new campers eager to get started. If you want to get in touch or have additional questions please contact me.

If you're gearing up for your first camping adventure and want to bring a touch of modern convenience to the great outdoors, the EcoFlow Delta could be your trusty companion. While it has its share of pros and cons, this portable power station could help ease the transition into camping without sacrificing essential creature comforts.

My favorite feature of the EcoFlow Delta by far is the Rapid Solar Recharge Feature. For my setup I have a 230W solar panel mounted on my roof top tent that continuosly recharges my EcoFlow Delta whenever sunlight is available. I'm able to run a dual zone Dometic refrigerator full-time in the back of my vehicle. The EcoFlow Delta has one of the fastest solar recharge times on the market. It is a real game-changer for campers and overlanders – the EcoFlow Delta can be recharged using solar panels! With its 1200W MPPT solar input, you can harness the power of the sun to recharge your Delta in as little as 4 hours. Imagine waking up to a fully charged power station every day while camping. It's not just eco-friendly; it's a camping luxury!

The Pros:

1. Easy Power On-the-Go (4.5/5):
For those of new to camping, the idea of disconnecting from your devices might be scary. That's where the EcoFlow Delta comes in to ease your worries. With its substantial 1260Wh capacity and 1800W pure sine wave inverter, you'll have the power to charge phones, cameras, and even laptops – helping you stay connected to the digital world without compromising on the camping experience. This is my go-to power station to run my refrigerator and freezer full-time in my vehicle.

2. Simple Setup (5/5):
Setting up the EcoFlow Delta is a breeze, even for beginners. Its LCD display provides clear information about the battery status and power consumption, ensuring that you're always in the loop. Just plug in your devices and let the Delta do the rest. You can monitor power input and output from the easy to read LCD screen.

3. Portable Design (4/5):
The Delta's compact size makes it relatively easy to transport, though it's worth noting that it might still require a bit of effort for those who aren't used to handling heavier items. But once you have it set up at your campsite or in your vehicle, you'll appreciate the convenience it offers.

The Cons:

1. Weight:
While the Delta's portable design is a plus, it's important to consider its weight, especially for new campers. This model is not a good option for backpackers or ultra-light hikers. Carrying it to your campsite might be a bit challenging, especially if you're also lugging other camping gear. The built-in wheels help on some models, but it's still bulkier than you might expect.

2. Price:
As a new camper, you're likely mindful of your budget. The EcoFlow Delta does come with a higher price tag compared to some other camping essentials. While the convenience it provides is undeniable, it might be an investment that takes some consideration.

3. Learning Curve:
If you're new to camping, using a power station might feel a bit overwhelming at first. Figuring out the best way to manage your power consumption and understanding the technical details might require a bit of a learning curve.

In conclusion, the EcoFlow Delta offers a fantastic solution for new and inexperienced campers who want to bridge the gap between modern technology and the great outdoors. It provides the power you need to keep your devices running without sacrificing the camping experience. However, it's important to weigh the pros and cons, particularly in terms of its weight and price. With a bit of patience and familiarity, the EcoFlow Delta can be a valuable addition to your camping gear arsenal.
